Aurora Police Headquarters & Branch Court Facility
Illinois’ second largest city, Aurora, needed new facilities to house 400 public safety employees and better serve hundreds of visitors each day. To build the city’s $70 million, 200,000-square-foot police headquarters and branch court facility, Aurora turned to Leopardo.
- Three-story 160,000-SF main building comprised of the police headquarters and branch court facility
- Separate 40,000-SF training and support building facilitates evidence processing and provides long and short term evidence storage
- Separate 200,000-SF parking deck for fleet services, employee and public parking
- Completion expected in late 2009
- Located on a 25-acre site
- With great attention to environmental details, the public safety campus is aiming for a Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
