Local Construction Veteran Michael Powers Joins Leopardo Construction’s Southeast Regional Office
CHARLESTON, South Carolina (May 8, 2007) – Leopardo Construction, a leading construction services firm, announced that Michael Powers, a seasoned architect and construction manager, joined the company as Project Manager. He will work out of Leopardo Construction’s southeast regional office in Charleston.
Powers brings to Leopardo more than 25 years of experience in all areas of construction, with a primary focus on education, office, industrial, healthcare, retail and interiors projects. Over the course of his career, he has overseen more than $630 million in construction.
Prior to joining Leopardo Construction, Powers spent nine years as Project Manager at Charleston-based Newton Builders. Before then, he managed projects for Columbia-based Southern Management Group. Powers also managed a 12-person construction administration department for Charleston-based LS3P Architects.

Powers is a registered architect in South Carolina and is a member of the Charleston County Board of Adjustments and Appeals. He is Past President of both the Palmetto Kiwanis and the Kiawah District of The Cub Scouts of America. Powers graduated from Auburn University with a degree in architecture and environmental design.
