Leopardo Construction Completes Northern Illinois’ First Cyberknife Project At Northwest Community Hospital

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Illinois (October 19, 2006) – Leopardo Construction, a leading construction services firm, completed Northern Illinois’ first CyberKnife Radiosurgery System project at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill. 

The CyberKnife project was part of a larger renovation of Northwest Community’s cancer center, which also included a new High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy room.  Leopardo Construction served as general contractor of the renovation project. 

The CyberKnife is the world’s first dedicated full-body radiosurgery system and is the most advanced non-invasive treatment for cancer.  Northwest Community Hospital’s Cancer Services Program is one of the top 10 cancer programs in Illinois and is among the best 50 medical centers in the nation for cancer treatment, according to a study by U.S. News & World Report.
