Leopardo Construction Breaks Ground On 400,000-SF Poplar Creek Crossing Shopping Center In Hoffman Estates, IL
HOFFMAN ESTATES Illinois (July 14, 2005) – Leopardo Construction today announced that the official ground breaking ceremony for the Poplar Creek Crossing retail shopping center was held this morning, July 14, 2005, in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Mayor William McLeod, a large contingent of Hoffman Estates Village board members and Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce directors joined the project team for the ceremonies.
Poplar Creek Crossing, a 400,000-square-foot shopping center, located at the Southwest corner of Routes 59 and 72, will be anchored by a 124,000-square-foot Target store and joined by other national retailers. The center is scheduled to open in Spring 2006.
The Poplar Creek Crossing project team is headed up by the Chicago regional office of the owner/developer, Archon Group, L.P., an international, full-service commercial real estate investment and management company. The Rise Group of Chicago is the construction manager with Leopardo Construction, headquartered in Hoffman Estates serving as the general contractor. O’Brien & Associates, Inc. of Dallas is providing the architectural services for the project. Leasing for Poplar Creek Crossing is being handled by Archon’s Chicago office and Mid-America Asset Management Company, Inc. of Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
