Leopardo Construction Breaks Ground On 70,000-Square-Foot Zylstra Harley-Davidson Dealership In St. Charles, Il
Leopardo Awarded Design-Build Contract for Entire 38-Acre Development
ST. CHARLES, Illinois (October 27, 2005) – Leopardo Construction, a leading Chicagoland construction services firm, today announced it broke ground on a 70,000-square-foot Zylstra Harley-Davidson dealership in St. Charles, Ill. The dealership anchors a 38-acre development for which Leopardo Construction was awarded the design-build contract.
The development is located at the southwest corner of Randall Road and North Avenue on St. Charles’ west side, just north of the Kane County Fair Grounds. The Zylstra Harley-Davidson dealership will feature a 50,000-square-foot first-floor showroom and service department, and a 20,000-square-foot mezzanine for equipment/product storage and administrative offices. The showroom will have the capacity to display 300 motorcycles and will also be used for merchandising.
As part of the 38-acre site development, Leopardo Construction is managing the infrastructure improvements, including the extension of Oak Street and underground utilities. Infrastructure improvements and construction on the new Zylstra Harley-Davidson will be completed by June 2006.

Leopardo Construction is the design-builder along with OWP&P Architects Inc. providing architectural and engineering services. Kenneth Franzese of Lee & Associates is the broker representing Zylstra and Bruce Goldsmith of Dykema Gossett is serving as Zylstra’s legal counsel.
