Leopardo Construction Recognized With More Prestigious Project Awards

10-16_big.jpgHOFFMAN ESTATES, Illinois (October 16, 2006) – Leopardo Construction, a leading construction services firm, continues to be recognized by its peers and clients for world class projects and service. In addition to being named 2006 Contractor of the Year by the Coalition for United Community Action, Leopardo recently received additional honors, including:

2006 Small Commercial Project of the Year
Awarded by Midwest Construction magazine, this honor recognizes the 25,000-square-foot I-CAR world headquarters building that Leopardo Construction built in Hoffman Estates. Loebl Schlossman and Hackl served as project architect.

2006 Chicago Landmark Award for Preservation Excellence
This prestigious honor, selected by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, recognizes the delicate and precise restoration of the 35 East Wacker lobby and façade. The Al Capone-era tower, also known as the Jeweler’s Building, was built in 1927 and was the tallest building outside New York City at the time. Goettsch Partners was the project architect.
