Encyclopædia Britannica
Encyclopædia Britannica, one of the world’s leading publishers of reference and learning products, teamed up with Leopardo to build a new, high-end headquarters at the landmark Reid Murdoch Building in Chicago, which was built in 1914. A so-called “dinosaur” still thriving in the Internet age, Britannica wanted an image that better reflected its more modern service offerings.
- 75,000-SF, three-floor build-out including reception/lobby, executive and editorial offices, and editorial library
- Space bears the stamp of Britannica’s corporate identity with displays of the company’s products, giant quotations from famous Britannica contributors and large plasma television monitors that can be seen from the street
- Curved, museum-quality product award display cases
- Brightly-lit second floor loft space
- Leopardo needed only 11 weeks to finish new high-end headquarters

We needed a very hands-on, schedule-driven contractor that knows there's no such thing as changing the opening day. Leopardo brings a superior level of excellence to the playing field. They also keep a steady eye on our priorities. Leopardo is now part of a big solution here at White Sox Park.
Charles Sampey, Facilities Director - US Cellular Field
Illinois Sports Facility Authority
During every phase of the project, Leopardo's performance was first-rate. Not only was the project completed on time (no small feat considering the very aggressive schedule), but also well within our budgetary constraints.
Michael Conway, Principal

This project has been, in my 17 years of experience, one of the best run operations that I have seen.

During the 20 plus years that I have been involved with architecture and construction, I have never participated in such a successful "team approach."

They anticipated our needs. They knew things before we knew they were going to be issues. They exceeded our expectations and that's difficult to do these days.
Josephine Thomas, Senior Vice President

Leopardo isn't just a canned outfit that has pretty much the same story as everybody else. They very diligently defend and protect the client's interests.

I've been doing this for about 20 years - worked with contractors from all over the United States - and Leopardo is in my top two. Their craftsmanship was unparalleled in my experience.
