AirCell
Itasca, Illinois
AirCell, having rapidly grown to become the world's leading provider of air-to-ground telecommunications, expanded its offices to Illinois. For its expansion, the airline broadband provider chose Leopardo Construction as its trusted contractor to build-out a custom 30,000-SF space.
• Built a unique, one-of-a-kind laboratory in the shape of an airplane fuselage, which is used for clients to test technologies and simulate usability - featuring overhead compartments, lighting, adjustable economy and business-class seats, and back lighting to simulate sunlight through the windows
• Fuselage laboratory, which we completed in only six days, was built in sections for the ability to be mobile and freestanding for trade show use
• Full-height glass fronts at all perimeter offices for a natural light soak
• Constructed server room to accept AirCell’s existing racks and (plug and play) equipment
• Completed the project on a fast-track schedule of six weeks (including furniture installation)
