Rush-Copley Medical Center, Surgical Expansion
Aurora, Illinois

The Rush-Copley Medical Center surgical expansion project was built in a severely sloped courtyard. In order to build this addition, Leopardo Construction dismantled a section of the hospital’s main corridor, lowered the foundation wall, leaving the roof structure in place, and delivered all materials by driving them through a section of the existing facility.  Upon completion of the construction, our crews reassembled the section of corridor for Rush-Copley Medical Center’s use.

• Two-story cast-in-place structure

• Large operating rooms ranging from 600-SF to 900-SF

• Doctor’s lounge

• Sterile corridor

• Addition-related ancillary space
