Midway Airport/North Security Checkpoint Addition

This 18,000-SF, 3-story addition was required to realign the north security checkpoint at Chicago's Midway Airport.

• Extensive curtain-wall construction, terrazzo flooring and cantilever structural steel system

• Extreme project logistic requirements due to caisson foundation systems, major utility coordination, proximity to main terminal and pedestrian bridge

• All workers had to be shttled on and off project due to limited project work area, traffic safety issues and F.A.A. security requirements
