Northwewst Community Hospital Cyberknife™

Marking the 35th project for Northwest Community, Leopardo was selected to renovate this cancer treatment center. The key aspect of this project being a new CyberKnife™ by Accuray. The CyberKnife™ employs stereotactic radiosurgery technology to treat tumors, functional disorders and extracranial tumors and lesions. Northwest Community Hospital was proud to be the first to bring this new technology to Illinois. Highlights include:

• 4-phase, 5,000-SF project completed in six months

• Homogeneous lead bricks for shielding walls and ceiling

• Constructed in one of the most sensitive areas of the hospital in regards to infection control

• Included a fully operational HDR (high-dose-rate)

• Premium finishes and extensive MEP upgrades
