El Valor Carlos H. Cantu Children & Family Center
Leopardo was joined by Mayor Richard M. Daley and other civic officials to break ground for El Valor’s Carlos H. Cantu Children & Family Center, a 28,000-square-foot facility that will serve more than 500 children under the age of five and more than 1,000 families annually who live in the highly Hispanic populated community of Little Village and surrounding communities.
- The $7.7 million building is the third community resource center built by El Valor
- 10 classrooms for children ages three to five
- Three community multipurpose rooms
- State-of-the-art computer lab, library and a large playground area
