Leopardo Construction built both the Archer Heights and Edgebrook Libraries. The Archer Heights branch is a neighborhood library constructed of a steel structural frame, solid masonry exterior walls featuring Mankato Kasota limestone from Minnesota. The two-story entrance lobby features a barrel vault roof with standing seam metal roofing. The reading room has a raised roof with clerestory windows. Since the building lies within the flight path of Midway Airport, it incorporates sound attenuating features such as a concrete roof deck, spray-on acoustic insulation under the roof deck, and laminated glass exterior windows.
