Aurora Police Headquarters & Branch Court Facility
Aurora, Illinois

Illinois’ second largest city, Aurora, needed new facilities to house 400 public safety employees and better serve hundreds of visitors each day.  To build the city’s $61.5 million, 200,000-square-foot police headquarters and branch court facility, Aurora turned to Leopardo.

• Three-story 160,000-SF main building comprised of the police headquarters and branch court facility

• Separate 40,000-SF training and support building facilitates evidence processing and provides long and short term evidence storage

• Separate 200,000-SF parking deck for fleet services, employee and public parking

• Completion expected in late 2009

• Located on a 25-acre site

• With great attention to environmental details, the public safety campus is aiming for a Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
